Henry Sy Sr., founder of the SM Group of Companies was recently awarded the Grand Chamber Award of Distinction by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI). The group paid tribute to Sy for his legacy of industry and commitment to accelerate the Philippine economy by establishing the chain of retail stores and shopping centers and also in the SM group's expansion to financial services, real estate development and tourism.
