To take a further step on advocating children to form good habit of reading and sharing, while better promoting SM Children’s Book Reading Day which is held annually for 8 successive years, in 2018, SM has introduced Little Free Library, an international non-profit library organization’s project into all SM China Malls, and instead of a one-day event, SM is making it a permanent project.

LFL was founded by Mr. Todd Bol to memorize his book-loving mother, which places more than 700,000 Little Free Libraries in neighborhoods and communities in 85 countries. SM China agrees and recognizes its power to gather people’s strength to make the society realized the importance of reading and sharing, especially among children. Now through 8 LFLs set in SM China malls, from those in coastal cities to inland cities, from south to north, SM deliver the beauty of reading and sharing to the whole China.
