On September 19, 2015, SM, one of the largest shopping center operators in the Philippines, opened a new mall in China - SM City Zibo Zichuan, expanding its global footprint with the 58th mall.
SM Prime Holdings on Saturday opened its newest mall in a ceremony attended by Zibo City Zichuan District officials and top company officials led by Hans Sy, president of SM Prime, Steven T. Tan, Senior Vice President of SM Supermalls and Gary Yeo, CEO of SM China Regional Headquarters.
With a floor area of 150,000 square meters, SM City Zibo Zichuan provides a variety of services including trendy merchandise, family entertainment, food and fitness, and cinema etc, fulfilling Zichuan residents’ demand in shopping, dining, entertainment, and family activities. It already has a good occupancy rate, with anchor tenants such as SM Store, SPAR Supermarket, Suning, and Chow Tai Seng which opened earlier this year, attracting great attentions of the local residents. Besides, the one-stop shopping mall will also introduce a wide range of brands including Dadi Cinema, Pizza Hut, Aeon Molly Fantasy, Baiqiyuan Food Court, Amazon Brazilian Barbecue Buffe, and Yueyan Seafood Buffe etc., offering a comprehensive life services to Zichuan families.

SM currently has 52 malls in the Philippines and 6 in China located in Xiamen, Jinjiang, Chengdu, Suzhou, Chongqing and Zibo. It also plans to have new malls in Tianjin, Changzhou and Yangzhou.
